Fern Hill Road reopens after car drives into flood and gate closure
Fern Hill Road has reopened, Washington County Land Use and Transportation said Tuesday. Closed since Friday after floodwaters overtook the roadway and a driver and their car became trapped in floodwaters, needing rescue, it was the second such closure this rainy season.

A motorist drove their vehicle into the flooded roadway before county crews could put the gates up on Fern Hill Road and ended up in need of rescue. Fern Hill Road is now closed.
