Three children the Forest Grove Police Department said were believed to have been taken by their parents while under investigation have been found safe, FGPD said Thursday evening.

"The children have been located and are in safe care," the Forest Grove Police Department said in a social media post Thursday evening.
"We thank the community for their assistance in this case," the department added.
Additional details were not immediately disclosed.
"The three children are believed to have been taken by their parents, Cody Hinerman, 33, and Krista Lou Fisher, 37, to escape being brought into protective custody," the department said in their original statement March 11, noting that both parents were under investigation, though for what, the agency did not disclose.
